Learning to Look

Explore different drawing and sculptural media while learning about the summer exhibitions and sketching the work in the galleries. Students will engage with the elements of art and principles of design to find their own voice and create works in watercolor, oil pastel, and clay. There may be opportunities for outdoor drawing, too - bring a hat and sunglasses!

About the instructor:
Russel Kahn has spent the past 35 years creating and teaching art across the Southwest and New England. Originally from New York City and Cincinnati, he grew up in a multicultural family—his mom was from Tel Aviv, Israel, his dad from Cape Town, South Africa, and his stepmom from Innsbruck, Austria. These diverse backgrounds have shaped his worldview and artistic perspective.
